Trees Please! Rooting and Grounding…

Summertime travels can be fun! All of our time this summer both teaching and exploring left us still wanting more, the MORE was time to connect and commune with Nature. So off we went, while in San Francisco, to the Muir Woods…home of some of the largest trees on the planet…the mighty and majestic Redwood trees.
Immediately I felt grounded and solid on my feet, and the most obvious thing was, I could BREATHE! Not short and shallow, but full and deep and infused with oxygen and prana. I kept thinking as we hiked higher and higher into the sun-lit branches “this is what we all need more of”. To feel fully and wholly on the planet earth, infused with her beauty and power, pulsing through us so that every cell is rejuvenated.
We drove down one the most sublime of coasts… all the way to LA the next day. Landing at the most artful and wild Venice Beach. Passed by so many people just strutting their “stuff”. A little sign amidst it all said “EARTH without the ART is just “EH”. Haha! We laughed so hard.
Fortifying yourself as a yoga teacher…one who gives so much is most highly recommended. So that we plug back into the most loveliest of ladies, Mother Gaia, to then re-fuel and then give it out again. I am grateful for that re-charging process…and am excited to be a part of the first year of 889’s Living Yoga Program, and to be teaching a fun, grounding and informative module on Restorative yoga, and as well to be introducing the infinite well of the power of mantra’s and chanting to the group, in the Sandskrit and Chanting Module.
How great is it that people can choose just to do some of the modules of interest, or even better, the whole thing! The diversity of the program yields many possibilities. As with each soul, on this path of transformation, we have at our finger tips so much to learn about ourselves in this infinite and un-ending pathway of yoga…the path of union with the Divine….right there, right now, not far away at all really.
Look forward to seeing you all!
