Mindful Yoga for Stress & Anxiety

Yoga means union. When we are anxious and stressed, we can become disconnected from ourselves. Anxiety is a common mental health issue. By attending the workshop Mindful Yoga for Stress & Anxiety you will learn techniques to discover more peace and ease.

Research reveals that a regular yoga practice supports the treatment of mental health illnesses and other stress related health problems. Yoga calms the nervous

The  practice of Yoga:
  1. Calms the nervous system
  2. Increases physical, mental and emotional awareness
  3. Lowers stress
  4. Reduces muscle tension
  5. Enhances attention and concentration

 

In support of emotional balance, peace, and ease, I am leading a workshop on October 1st, to teach you ways in which you can use your body and breath to shift your emotional state.

In the workshop we will practice:
  1. simple centering practices
  2. slow, mindful movements to discharge tension
  3. relaxation inducing restorative postures
  4. pranayama (breath work) to quiet the mind
  5. guided relaxation and meditation

You will leave Mindful Yoga for Managing Anxiety with the resources to help you cope with anxious feelings and unease. Handouts will be provided and questions will be welcomed. This workshop is suitable for adolescents and adults and is accessible to people with no previous yoga experience.

Enrollment is limited to 12 people to facilitate an intimate environment. Please pre-register with 889 by September 25th to reserve your spot.
