Details
Sleek and versatile hair pins designed to secure your style with ease. Whether you're creating an elegant updo, securing loose strands, or adding a polished finish to any hairstyle, these pins offer reliable hold and a minimalist look. Perfect for everyday wear, special occasions, or professional settings. The secret trick to making a U-pin hold is that you must insert it backwards, catch a small layer of hair, and then flip it over to slide it in completely.
How to use:
The Classic Everyday Bun (Easiest)
- Gather and Twist: Gather all your hair into a ponytail at the back of your head (no elastic needed). Twist the ponytail tightly until it starts to coil into a bun against your head.
- Tuck the Ends: Wrap the remaining length around the base to form a neat, round bun, and tuck the loose ends underneath.
- The First Catch: Hold the French hair pin so the curve arches upwards away from your head (concave side facing up). Insert the prongs into the very top outer edge of your bun, catching just a tiny bit of the bun hair and a bit of the hair underneath.
- The Flip & Lock: Push the prongs about half an inch down into the hair, then flip the pin downward so the curve now arches flat against the shape of your scalp.
- Secure it: Push the pin firmly down and forward through the middle of the bun toward your neck. It should weave through the bun and lock tightly against your head.
The French Twist
- Twist Upward: Gather your hair at the nape of your neck and twist it tightly upward against the back of your head to create a vertical roll.
- Tuck Excess Hair: If your hair is long, fold the remaining top length down and tuck it neatly inside the side pocket of the vertical roll.
- Insert the Pin: Hold the pin horizontally with the prongs pointing toward the twist and the curve arching outward.
- Catch, Flip, and Push: Slide the prongs through the outer edge of the twisted roll. Catch a tiny bit of hair, flip the pin flat against your scalp, and push it forward into the densest part of the twist to seal it.
