Sunny Smith
Sunny has always been drawn to the art of movement. A dancer from a young age, her path shifted following a serious car accident, leading her into years of physical therapy and exploration of various healing modalities. It was through this journey that she discovered yoga — a practice that transformed her physical body and deepened her connection to self. From that moment, she knew this work was meant to be shared.
Sunny brings over 1000 hours of teacher training to her practice. She is a graduate of Chakra Yoga in Victoria and Downward Dog Yoga Centre, and continues her studies with master teachers Rachelle and Paul Gold. She has also completed Tracey Soghrati’s Yin Teacher Training, as well as Levels One and Two at the Toronto Thai Massage School.
With over a decade of experience teaching meditation, breathwork, and Kundalini-based practices, Sunny offers a deeply integrative and intuitive approach to her classes.
Sunny creates a space where students feel safe, supported, and inspired. Her classes are thoughtfully guided, often woven with music, meditation, and metta (loving-kindness), encouraging students to reconnect with themselves on every level — from physical wellbeing to inner awareness.
“Spiritual practice is the means. They keep this glowing light in the foreground of your mind and allow you to see by its rays.”
