It is our belief that the 200hr Yoga Education Program be accessible to everyone. For this reason, we are rolling out our Yoga Education Scholarship for the Fall 2020 program. The funds for this scholarship have been collected through our Pay-What-You-Can Community Class taught by program alumni. We love the full circle essence of this scholarship as the community class gives graduates the opportunity to teach, while also giving students an opportunity to practice at an accessible rate. The donations collected will give one upcoming Yoga Education Program student access to a program that they may not have had the means to partake in otherwise.
This year’s scholarship amount will be announced by April 1, 2020. The amount will be a subsidy for the program and will not cover the entirety of the cost. The remaining amount owed can be paid for in up to 4 instalments until the end of the Fall 2020 Yoga Education Program.
We’re accepting applications for this scholarship on a needs-basis. This means that if you can realistically manage the program payment of $5,500+hst, then we respectfully ask you to allow others to apply who may have greater financial need. This scholarship is for an individual who is passionate about yoga and the possibility of either creating a career in this field or in deepening their own practice. We give priority to folks who identify with the BIPOC and LGBTQI2-S communities. We also give priority to applicants who want to intentionally share their yoga education with their community in a meaningful way.

Once submitted, your application will be considered by a panel of staff, faculty, and YEP alumni.
The scholarship recipient will be announced on July 1, 2020.
