Scotty came to practice in an effort to heal from running injuries. The physicality of practice really excited him, but he was surprised at how it affected him mentally. He started to feel less reactive and more able to really feel his body; to be receptive to what he was experiencing.
Scotty has been on a healing journey ever since, slowly growing and learning about himself. He is so grateful for the opportunity to facilitate a space allowing students to dive deeper into their practice and really listen to their own bodies.
His style is based in Kula Flow, which is a breath-centred vinyasa practice marked by intentional, ‘sensibly creative’ sequencing, and intelligent adjustments. He also teaches pilates and functional movement. His appreciation for his teachers Schuyler Grant, Nikki Vilella, and Kate Gillespie cannot be understated.
