Bryonie Wise is an artist, heart alchemist and daughter of nature—her life is rooted firmly in the belief that when we come from a place of love, everything is possible.
Her own practice of living reminds her daily how essential movement, breath, creative expression and practiced integration are for our ability to support our tender hearts. (She also happens to speak fluent lion and her teachings are poetically-infused with all sorts of medicine sprinkled down from the moon, stars, and vines above).
Bryonie has a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Photography from Ryerson University in Toronto; a background in fine art book publishing (in a past life, she was Production Manager at the Aperture Foundation in New York) and hours upon years of heart-work with plant medicine and yoga with some of the most amazing teachers (including Fides Krucker, Elena Brower, Seane Corne, Suzanne Sterling, Hala Khouri, Pat Harada-Linfoot, Scott Davis and the late Michael Stone)—and, last but not least, a ferocious appetite for words (it’s true that she was once Managing Editor at elephant journal but that was a long time ago, now).
When not teaching yoga or creating her heart to the bone, you can find Bryonie adventuring in the wild with her camera and her dog, Winston, living her yoga.
