Ariel Whittaker-Brown

Ariel was born and raised in downtown Toronto and spent most of her childhood involved in competitive gymnastics and ballet. She found the practice of Iyengar Yoga in 2002 and was instantly motivated by the sense of structured movement, correct alignment and meditative qualities. A few years later, Ariel went on to complete the Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training with Downward Dog Yoga Studio in both Toronto and Mexico. In 2012, the experience of motherhood inspired Ariel to study with Kundalini Yoga teacher Gurmukh in Vancouver, becoming a Certified Khalsa Way Prenatal Yoga Teacher. Ariel feels immense gratitude for the experience and to be able to share these teachings with women on their journey through pregnancy and childbirth. Ariel teaches a variety of classes, which focus on a creative flow, precise alignment and pranayama. She aims to bring her students a sense of connection and balance both on and off the mat.
