Breathwork, also known as Pranayama, is the formal practice of controlling the breath. In this class you will explore the theory and practices of various breathing techniques, which balance, clear and calm your nervous system, preparing the body and mind for meditation. The 889 Breathwork & Meditation class will cover the basic yogic breath, Ujayi, Anuloma, Viloma, Kapalabhati, Bhramari and more. Once the mind settles, we will work on meditation techniques such as Japa, observation of thoughts, single point focus meditation and Chakra meditation to provide a variety of entry points to the bliss found in the silence within. Leave this class feeling centered, restored and less reactive.
